If you are a vegetarian and you love hot dog, then here is some bad news for you. You have to be extra cautious. According to a study from Clear Labs, a food analytics startup, 10% of vegetarian hot dog products contain meat. Really shocking!!! Isn’t it?
What is the issue?
Clear Foods, a company that uses genetic sequencing to figure out just what is in your food. It conducted tests on 21 vegetarian hot dogs in the USA and the result was absolutely shocking. The study found pork substitution and some unexpected ingredients, including chicken and lamb in those hotdogs.
Food adulteration is really becoming a serious concern these days and consumers are still unsure what exactly are they getting into their plates.
