Who are these newsmakers exactly?

Every year the covered title ‘Person of the Year’ is bestowed on the person who has most influenced the news, for better or worse. This year final List includes three Indian-PM Narendra Modi, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Mukesh Ambani. According to Time Magzine, PM Modi has encouraged foreign direct investment in India and als trying to modernize the world’s largest democracy. At the same time it asserted that the PM has faced controversy over what some see as right-wing extremism.

Previous year, PM Modi was not chosen by the editors even though he secured more than 16 per cent of the five-million votes cast.
