1,000 fake reviewers are sued

In such a bizarre incident, the retail giant amazon has sued more than a 1000 unidentified people who were blamed to provide fake reviews on its website.

What this issue is?

Amazon said in a lawsuit, filed in the US that its brand reputation was being tarnished by these false, misleading and inauthentic reviews. Amazon has also started a campaign against the alleged fake reviewers. Saying its goal is to make reviews as useful as possible for customers.

Amazon further stated in court that a very small number of sellers and manufacturers attempt to gain unfair competitive advantages by creating false, misleading, and inauthentic customer reviews for their products on its website which breach the trust of customers. Amazon is taking legal actions so it could protect the interests of customers. So beware next time when you are posting fake reviews. You might be the next one to get sued in court.
