1-Turkmenistan Has Completely Banned Smoking

The President of Turkmenistan has banned the sale of all tobacco products in the country. Apparently, any shop caught selling cigarettes or tobacco products will face a fine of up to Rs.2 Lakhs.

2- ‘The Bikerni’- India’s First All-Women Motorcycle Association

In the male-dominated motorcycling community, ‘The Bikerni’ is India’s first all-women motorcycle association. It is formed in Pune and has 400 active members.

3-Denmark’s windmills set world record in renewable energy production

Denmark’s windmills accounted for over 42 percent of domestic electricity use in 2015. This is the highest proportion ever produced by any country in world.

Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has said that in the coming five to eight months, the number of internet users in India might reach 50 crore. According to available data, 70% of users will be accessing Internet through mobile phones.

Only 62 people own as much wealth as the poorer half of the global population. It revealed in Oxfam report. According to the report the wealth is becoming further concentrated, with the number of people owning the same amount as the bottom half of humanity falling from 388 to 62 in five years.

8-Russian search engine rolls out Elvish language

Russian search engine Yandex has added the fictional language of Elvish  in its built-in online translator. The language is spoken by elves in the fantasy novel ‘The Lord of the Rings’, written by author JRR Tolkien.

9-SpaceX rocket explodes after landing

The unmanned mission, powered by a SpaceX rocket, accomplished its primary goal of carrying a satellite into low orbit. But its landing upright on a floating platform called a droneship failed as rocked exploded as one of its legs failed to latch on the landing platform.
