Bikram yoga founder Bikram Choudhury has been ordered to pay over $1 million to a former employee who said he sexually harassed her and wrongfully fired her.
The woman named Minakshi “Miki” Jafa-Bodden, said Choudhury sexually harassed her. She also said she was fired from her position as she refused to cover up an investigation into another woman’s rape allegation. However Choudhury counters that she was let go because she did not have a license to practice law in the US.
Six other women have filed sexual assault lawsuits against Choudhury, five of whom have accused Choudhury of rape.
