Three Toronto cab drivers have begun a hunger strike at city hall to force action against Uber.
What the actual story is?
Three drivers are vowed to exist on only water and stay outside city hall as long as they have to until Uber halts operating. They curled up in sleeping bags, surrounded by signs reading “Uber is illegal” and “Stop unlicensed ride sharing operations now,” But their task quickly became even more difficult, with police swooping in within hours to dismantle their tent, leaving the protesters shivering on mats.
The protest is a last-ditch effort to register those drivers unhappiness without disrupting citizens.
