Panasonic has launched the Eluga X1 and X1 Pro in India, The Japanese electronic brand has finally entered the High-end smartphone segment. Both the phones sport 6.18” FHD + Notch Display and have a Stainless Steel Body with a 2.5D curved sleek design. Both the devices come as a part of Panasonic’s flagship lineup. There isn’t much difference in both the devices except for the storage and RAM of the devices and wireless charging offered in Eluga X1 pro.
Eluga X1 and X1 Pro boasts of AI powered 16MP front and 16MP + 5MP dual rear cameras that come with Scene Recognition Technology and offer multiple modes such as the Face Beauty mode, Bokeh effect, Live photos, Back light effect, Time lapse, Professional mode and Group Selfie mode. Panasonic also gave yet another feature that is its AI scene recognition technology which can identify as many as 800 scenes and also enable the slow-motion feature which is great for the camera lovers.
Design and Display
Talking of the display, both the smartphones offer a 6.18-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The display comes with a notch and offers a screen resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels. The body is made up of stainless steel with a 2.5D curved sleek design. There is also a Corning Gorilla Glass on top of the display for added protection.
Performance and Processor
Eluga X1 comes with 4GB RAM+64GB ROM expandable up to 128GB where as the Eluga X1 pro comes with 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM expandable up to 256GB. Both the devices are packed by The Fastest and the Smartest – Helio MediaTek P60 processor designed to deliver longer battery life, With that, Coming to the battery, Eluga X1 and X1 pro are packed with a 3000 mAh battery which is a bit let down but the good thing is that the devices sport a Type C port. Both the smartphones runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, however, there is no information available if the devices will get an Android 9 Pie update soon or not.
Key Highlights of Eluga X1 and X1 pro
- The major highlight feature of both the smartphones is the AI sense: Infrared face Unlock feature. This feature uses the sensors in the front camera which helps it unlock the devices even in challenging light situations. Both the smartphones will get a new ARBO Hub app which is Panasonic’s proprietary AI-powered hub to give the users an access to multiple apps and services on a single platform. Equipped with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Arbo Hub learns the user preferences and makes recommendations based on their areas of interest.

- The Eluga X1 pro is supported by Wireless Charging along with a wireless charger which will be given along without any extra cost.
Pricing and Availability
Panasonic Eluga X1 comes with a price tag of Rs 22,990, whereas, the Eluga X1 Pro comes with a price tag of Rs 26,999. The smartphones sale will go live on October 10 and will be available on all leading retailers in India.
