1-India’s military victory over Pakistan in 1971 during the Indo-Pakistani War 1971.
2-The war resulted in the unilateral surrender of Pakistani army. Pakistan’s Lt Gen A.A.K Niazi with 93,000 Pakistani soldiers & their civilian supporters surrendered.
3-This is the first war after World War-II that the Indian Army won conclusively.
4-Over 3,800 soldiers of India and Pakistan sacrificed their lives in this war to end the genocide Pakistan had been conducting against the Bengali population of East Pakistan.
