Irish women are tweeting live details of their periods to Prime Minister Enda Kenny to to repeal abortion laws in the country.
What the issue is?
Abortion is criminalized in Ireland. The 8th amendment of the Irish constitution states that the life of the fetus has the same value as the life of the mother and it makes abortions illegal. After a long protest, in 2013, a ban was only lifted on abortion in only cases when a mother’s life was in danger.
Recently, Ireland, a country which is considered conservative chose to become the first country of Europe to adopt gay marriage in a referendum this year.

Now many people are voicing for abortion laws to be reformed. Dozens of women joined in, tweeting details of their menstrual cycle, with some even criticizing Prime Minister for not responding.
