A new video was released by AAP leader and senior advocate HS Phoolka where former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi is seen justifying the anti-Sikh riots following the assassination of Indira Gandhi by saying “when a big tree falls, the earth shakes”.
What the issue is?
H S Phoolka, who have been a vocal activist for the justice of the 1984 riot, slammed congress. According to him, former prime minister was direct responsible for 1984 genocide and he can’t hold a Bharat Ratna and he demands Rajiv Gandhi’s Bharat Ratna’s be taken back.
He also blamed that it took three years for the Rajiv Gandhi led congress government to figure out the exact number of victims who got killed in 1984 riots. According to initial home ministry figures the total victims were only 684 which corrected 3 years later when a report asserted that 2733 Sikhs were killed.
Phoolka had also slammed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over the handling of the 1984 Sikh Riots case, saying that the top investigating agency had refrained from taking serious action against actual culprits.
