In a major blow for Pakistan cricket team, spinner Yasir Shah was provisionally suspended for failing a dope test by the ICC on Sunday.
Yasir is currently ranked No. 3 in the ICC Test bowling rankings. He has found positive for a banned diuretic during the one-day series with England in the United Arab Emirates last month. He cannot play or be involved in any capacity in international matches, and games organised by any national cricket board or its affiliated members.
However, he can request for his B sample to be tested, and if that test does not confirm a positive result then the suspension will be lifted with immediate effect.
