The government of Australian has announced its plans to legally allow medical cannabis like marijuana to be grown for medical and scientific purposes.
What was the issue earlier?
Marijuana is known as an illegal drug in many countries. People who grow, use, possess or sell it can be fined or sent to prison. But at the same time the use of Marijuana proves affective in the treatment of debilitating illnesses. In such situation marijuana proves the most effective treatment method. There was already a widespread campaigning in favor of growing marihuana and consume it. Activists were arguing that it was unfair to criminalize patients who relied on the drug to ease their pain.
So can we now use it for recreational purpose?
