Facebook has activated its Safety Check feature for users in Nigeria, following a bomb blast in city to make users can ensure that their loved ones are safe.
What the matter is?
Safety check feature in facebook allows any user to mark that they are safe. This feature was enabled for the second time in world after a terrorist attack. After Paris attack Facebook is considering it to make a permanent feature for tragic events. According to founder Mark, “we’re now working quickly to develop criteria for the new policy and determine when and how this service can be most useful.”
Earlier the Safety Check feature was only used for natural disasters. The feature was announced in October 2014, and was first activated for the earthquake in Nepal in April 2015.
