Beijing is Completely Shut Down Due to Smog

To protect people from the deadly air Beijing has issued its first ever “Red Alert” over the city’s smog.

What the actual story is?

In some parts of city the air is also packed with poisonous particles and people can only see around 200m. Authorities are expecting an extreme amount of pollution in the coming days. Red alert is the highest possible state of caution, which is declared in the capital for the first time. The city had also issued a ruling that said cars with odd and even number plates would be stopped from driving on alternate days.

Air pollution monitors showed that some area of Beijing had more than 256 micrograms per cubic metre of the poisonous particles.
