And Israeli Holocaust survivor is oldest man in the world

Holocaust survivor Yisrael Kristal, 112 has achieved that status of the oldest man in the world this week after Koide of Japan, also 112, died.

 He was contacted by the Gerontology Research Group based in the US. According to the organization, Kristal is now the oldest living man on record, although this still has to be validated by his documentation. He was born in 1903  in the Lodz province of what is now Poland. Following the Nazi invasion of Poland and the occupation of Lodz, he was moved into the Lodz ghetto

According to reports he said, “The Holocaust did not affect my beliefs. I believes I was saved because that’s what God wanted.”
