In a shocking case of discrimination against LGBT community, the Foundation Christian College, a famous private school in Australian has told a gay man named Brendan that his seven year old daughter would not have been welcomed had it known her parents were gay.
What is the issue?
Brendan, a man who had recently embraced his sexuality has raised allegations of discrimination on the basis of his sexuality against Foundation Christian College. He told when his daughter told her school friends that he was a gay, the school started discriminating her. She was instructed by the principle that she could only stay at the school if she did not speak of her father’s sexuality.
Brendan, who never believed that his private life was relevant to his daughter’s education, said the principal told him his daughter would be asked to leave if a parent complained. Brendan said that he felt bullied and decided to withdraw his daughter from Foundation Christian College and enroll her in a public primary school rather than have her live with the risk of being expelled at any time.
He even confessed that he carries a lot of guilt and he hates that his daughter has to deal with the fact that her father is not being accepted. The discrimination against the LGBT community is a common phenomenon across the globe.
