9th Jagran Film Festival to travel across 18 cities

India’s biggest travelling film festival, Jagran Film Festival, in its 9th year, is back again to take cinema beyond boundaries, to build awareness and create conversations around cinema and culture. Film Festival, will showcase over 400+ screenings in 18 Cities that include a stellar a line-up of films from across the world.


Know About JFF :

The  9th Jagran Film Festival is going to held in Delhi Siri Fort auditorium with the aims to connect great cinemas with nationwide audiences. this is also popularly known as world largest travelling film festival in India since 2010.  First in 2010 this travelling Festival is started by Jagran group to promote cinematic art beyond the major metro cities to smaller towns & villages .

From the starting this Event is getting lot’s of love from public because they are connecting all the cities and town with the same art & creative movies screen . so this time in 2018 , 9th JFF is going to host.

Pre-Festival Screening of Films from Jagran Film Festival :

Today, on 23rd July 2018 a pre festival screening of films from International and Indian short competitions that was showcasing to some Bloggers & Movie reviewers at DT Cinemas , Saket. Festival Director Mayank Shekhar, Commenced the event talking about 9th JFF , he also shared festival highlights and movies to look out for at the festival that will commence from 29th June 2018.

The Caregiver , Maya , Humming bird and Counterfeit kunkoo were screened from films from the Indian shorts competition.

9th Jagran Film Festival 2018

This year 2018, JFF received nearly 3500 submissions across genres from 100 countries . The Curated program will showcase over 200 films.

Jff has presented another new Competition classification of Indian Documentary features , including internationally acclaimed and Award-winning documentaries, for example,

  • Rahul Jain’s Machines 

  • An Insignificant Man By Khushboo Ranka & Vinay Shukla

  • Pushkar Puran by Kamal Swaroop

India Features Competition :

In this competition included award-winning films in varied languages including three Malayalam films & so many Hindi Films.

The Shorts Program :

It will include a competition category with Indian & international shorts and a non-competition category . this is another change from the previous JFF so this program is called Hot Shorts.

There is another one which is called Thematic Specials wil screen 2 documentaries in the Fan section, Being Bhaijaan, a documentary on Salman khan and another one is The Love of a Man, a documentary on Rajnikanth.

The 2018 edition 9th Jagran Film Festival will connect 18 cities and showcase over 200 films will commence in Delhi and tour to other cities like- Kanpur, Lucknow , Allahabad, Varanasi , Patna , Dehradun , Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bhopal, Indore, Gorakhpur, Agra, Ludhiana, Hissar, Meerut and Raipur before concluding in Mumbai in September.
