Yo! we always love to celebrate festivals. In fact, we live in a land of festivals. Festivals are something which we had inherited from our ancestors. Dussehra is one of the most Famous and Auspicious festivals that we celebrate for Nine days.

There are two different stories that are told behind the origin of this Dussehra celebration. The first story is the Victory of Rama over Ravana on this Vijayadasami and second one is mother Durga Killed Mahisasura to free the world from wrong doings.  Here, we look at top 5 places where Dusserha gets celebrated so passionately. Dussehra of Kolkata

Dasara is the most waited Festival of West Bengal. Here the goddesses of power is worshipped as mother Durga. The celebrations lasts for 9 days and 8 nights. The craziness you feel in Kolkata during this festival is incomparable.

 Navratri of Gujrat

People of Gujrat celebrate this festival for 9 days with music, dance and food. Here, all peoples gather together with traditional lehenga choli and kedias and perform Dandiya. And trust me, this will amaze you in many ways.

 Dusserhra of Varanasi

Dasara in Varanasi is combination of Ramlila and Durga worshipping. Ramlila here also lasts for ten days. If you wanna see the amalgamation of culture and ritual then this place is perfect to visit.

Dussehra of Mysore

In Dussehra, the Mysore Palace is fully decorated in light. Lighting is the main attraction on Vijayadasami. Many people including foreigners visit the Mysore palace on this day. Here for some moments you will feel royal.

Navratri of Vijyawada

According to story, after killing the Mahisasura, mother Durga visited Vijayawada in the form of Kali which is one of her scariest avatar. Later on, Shankara pacify the temper of mother Kali.  In Vijyawada, people celebrate the Navaratri during 9 days with 9 avatars. Yeah, celebration with 9 different avatars of Mother Durga.
