Some civil servants have set an example before us. They are the one whom we look up for inspiration. Changes in society come when we transgress prejudices and they have done exactly the same. They are the ones who are making other’s life beautiful by their hard efforts. Let’s look at their astounding achievements.
1-Rahul kumar :
He is District Magistrate of Gopalganj, a district situated in Bihar. In order to prove to villagers that food cooked by widow is not a bad omen, he ordered to serve food for himself which was cooked by a widow woman. The villagers were protesting and not allowing their kids to intake food serve by that widow woman. What a path breaking example!
2) Amitabh Thakur-
He had filed many complaints and FIRs in interest of public and has never withdrawn his complaints due to fear or greed. He is an RTI activist along with his wife Nutan thakur. He has lodged many FIR against corrupted MLAs in Utter Pradesh.
3) Raju Narayan Swamy-
He is winner of ‘kerala sahitya academy award’ for a travelogue, Santhimantram muzhanguuna thazvarayil. His career is marred with many political controversies. He has taken many ministers, head on. He even went against his corrupt father in law resulting in divorce with his wife. He denied the MIT scholarship, a well paid job in order to serve his country.
4) P Vijayan-
He is currently working as Director General of Police. He is honored with the ‘CNN-IBN Indian of the year award’ in 2014. His initiatives are novel like Student police cadet program which aims at providing legal knowledge to students to enable them to handle law themselves. He has also initiated NANMA which is a youth-focused program.
5) Shivdeep Waman Lande
He has been constantly in news for arresting many criminals. He has also worked towards women safety and took on pharmaceutical mafia. When he was transferred to Araria from Patna, many people turned to streets and held candle light protests against the government decision. He donated 70% of his salary to social causes which include marriages of poor girls and building for poor students.
