1-He was born rich but after the death of his father his family became very poor and he used to tell his mother that he is having lunch invitation at some place so he could move out of home and stay without food so that other would get more food.
2-He was poor in academics. He scored mere 56% in his BA exam.
3-He was fond of tea. He introduced tea in his monastery in Belur which was strongly opposed by Brahamans at that time.
4. He used to worship women but women were not allowed inside his monastery.
5. He had several diseases including Migraine, Tonsillitis , Insomnia, Back Pain, Lack of vision in right eye, Dyspepsia, Diabetes, Kidney problems, Heart Diseases, Chronic fever and many others.
