At least 23 people were killed when a suicide bomber on a motorbike rammed into the main gate of government’s office in Pakistan’s northwestern town of Mardan.
According to police official, the bomber was on a motorbike and drove it into the gate after being denied entry, he blew. Death toll could further rise as many among the injured were in critical condition. It came hours after jail authorities in northwestern Pakistan hanged four men who were sentenced to death by military courts for assisting in suicide bombings and attacks on soldiers.
A Pakistani Taliban faction claimed responsibility for the attack.
